Roshanak Ameli-Tehrani heads Ameli & Co., a business consulting practice advising non-profit organizations in the poverty alleviation, resource management and environmental sectors. Her clients include the World Bank, Helen Keller International, and UNICEF. In addition, she has worked extensively with national and locally-based organizations across India, Nepal, Iran, and Mexico. Ms. Ameli-Tehrani is also a founder and managing partner of The CANTRA Group, a real estate development and holding company operating in the Washington DC and Detroit metropolitan areas. Prior to her consulting and real estate development work, Ms. Ameli-Tehrani was a CPA with Price Waterhouse. She also launched and operated a chain of coffee-shops in the Midwest and has been an executive producer on three award-winning documentaries. These include War Child, which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival and won the audience award at the Tribeca film festival.
Ms. Ameli-Tehrani received a Masters of Public Administration from the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government, where she was both a Powell and a Littauer Fellow. She received a bachelor's degree summa cum laude from the University of Maryland in Business Administration.
