Rand Paul

U.S. Senate (R-KY)

Dr. Rand Paul is the junior United States Senator for Kentucky. He serves on the Foreign Relations, Health, Labor, & Education, Homeland Security & Government Affairs, and Small Business & Entrepreneurship Committees.

Elected in 2010, he has proven to be an outspoken champion for constitutional liberties and fiscal responsibility, and a warrior against government overreach. While Paul does not support amnesty for undocumented immigrants, he supports legal immigration and recognizes that the country has been enriched by those who seek the freedom to make a life for themselves.

Paul is a cosponsor of legislation calling on the government of Iran to immediately release Iranian American Saeed Abedini and all other individuals detained on account of their religious beliefs.  The non-binding resolution recognizes that freedom of religious belief and practice is a universal human right and a fundamental freedom of every individual, regardless of race, sex, country, creed, or nationality.
